Richard A. Hardesty , 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019.
He was born on November 17, 1933 in Hammond , Indiana to Robert and Hazel (Wathen) Hardesty . He is preceded in death by his parents, Son, Joseph Anthony Hardesty, and Brothers, Nickie Hardesty and Bobby Hardesty.
Richard is survived by his loving Wife of 63 years, Helen Hardesty, Children, Rick (Candy) Hardesty, Debbie (Wayne) Guess, Mike Hardesty, Ronnie (Susan) Hardesty, Lori (David) Davis, Donnie (Trish) Hardesty, Sandy (Bobby) Mitchell, 15 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and Brothers, Bernard Hardesty and Cecil Hardesty.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Friday at Incarnation Catholic Church (2229 Lower Hunters Trace) with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Richard 's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
