Billy Ray Hooper, Sr., 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. He was born on February 5, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Herman Hooper and Luetta Smith.
In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his brothers, Norman Lee, Joe Evan and Steven Dale Hooper.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 57 years, Carole Hooper; children, Billy Ray Hooper, Jr., Deanna Caryl Moody and Tammy Renee Weird; sons-in-law, Mark and Jamie; a daughter-in-law, Becky; grandchildren, Michael, Cory, Adam, Hunter, Tanner and Haley; a great-grandson, Ellison; a sister, Pearl Etta Madden; a brother, Darrell Hooper; many nieces and nephews; a countless number of friends; and many brothers and sisters in Christ.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy) and from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm on Monday, January 11, 2021 at GracePointe Baptist Church (5415 Valley Station Road). A service to celebrate his life will take place at GracePointe Baptist Church at 1:30 pm on Monday, January 11, 2021
