Regunia Louise Evans

Regunia Blevins Evans, 65, of Louisville, KY went home to be with her Lord on April 22, 2018. She was a faithful member of Bates Memorial Baptist Church and served as a decision counselor, served on the women's prison ministry and prayer ministry. Gina served at Salvation Army for 18 years and served for many years at Wayside Mission.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Grace Blevins and sister, Alesia Harvey.

Gina is survived by son, James (Breionna) Evans, Jr.; grandchildren, James Evans, III and Breia Evans; siblings; Teresa Watkins, Frederick Blevins, Cavanough Blevins, Milton (Violet) Blevins, Sr., Velina Benning, La-Veeda (Claude) Mahan and Debra (Leo) Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 6pm-8pm. A celebration of Gina's life will be Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Bates Memorial Baptist Church, 620 Lampton Street, Louisville, KY beginning at 11am.

Burial will follow at Green Meadows, 4700 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
