Regina Louise (Hoffman) Murphy, 86, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. She was an avid New Albany High School and IU basketball fan. Regina attended Scottsville Christian Church and Depauw Memorial United Methodist Church.
She was born in New Albany, Indiana, on October 18, 1930, to the late William G. and Clara B. (Girdley) Hoffman. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Murphy; son, Kelly Murphy; brothers, Herman, Mike, John, and Tommy; and her sisters, Wilma, Margie, and Dorothy.
Regina is survived by her children, Dennis Murphy (Merlin), Noreen McHolland Priddy (Patrick), and John Murphy (Laura Bennett-Murphy); sister-in-law, Glenda Hoffman; grandchildren, Sean Murphy, Kennedy McHolland, and Ryan, Mara, Reyna, and Emma Murphy; great-grandchild, Raylin Byrd; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will then take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
