Regina Hale, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 20, 2017. She loved her family and her home. Her hobbies included caring for her beloved pets including her fish, birds, and dogs. She was an avid gardener. Regina kept the house and yard full of flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Regina was full of life. She was a member of Beechland Baptist Church. Regina retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education as a cafeteria employee after 31 years.
Regina was born on January 11, 1940, in Big Springs, Kentucky to the late Ezra Nathan and Mary Willow Board. She was also preceded in death by her son, Edgar L. Hale Jr and her siblings, Norman Board, Eugene Board, Lloyd Board, William Board and Evelyn Eiler.
Regina is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edgar L. Hale Sr.; children, Debra Hale, Rebecca Gassman, and Ronald Hale; grandchildren, Jeremy (Danielle) Hale, Melanie Hale, Jennifer Hale, Krystal Harrington, Joshua Hale, Glen Hall, and April Bowman; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Noah, Shayla, Eric, Sydra, Joey, and Alex; siblings, Hazel Beal and Damon Board;
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). Her Funeral Service will on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens (279 Landis Ln, Mount Washington, KY 40047).
