Rebecca Ann Rupp, age 60, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, with friends by her side. She was the beloved daughter of Richard and JoAnn Rupp who preceded her in death.
Rebecca is survived by her cherished Christian friends, who became her chosen family. She grew up going to Victory Memorial Baptist Church and was baptized there at age 9. Rebecca always felt a call to do as the Lord directed and to witness to others, knowing the Lord gives us a tool to open doors to share our testimony. She had been given a Barbie doll at the age of 4, which sparked her interest in dolls, eventually leading her to become a doll historian, appraiser, seminar speaker, author of two books as well as numerous articles for Doll News Magazine. Rebecca said that dolls were a conversation starter with new people and would often lead to deeper conversations, allowing her to share her faith with many. Rebecca was president of the Derby City Doll Club and served the City of Rolling Hills as their Commissioner of Safety for 5+ years. She had a joyful heart, deep faith and an adventurous spirit. Rebecca travelled extensively throughout the U.S. with her parents, and enjoyed girls’ trips with friends, as well as tending her flowers and garden, and home decorating. She was a prayer warrior, loyal friend and encourager to so many. Rebecca’s warmth, good humor and positivity will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
A private celebration of her life was held on August 14, 2026 and she was buried next to her beloved parents in Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, in Louisville, KY.
