Rebecca Moss Tucker Gibson

May 25, 1935 — March 7, 2018

Rebecca Moss Tucker Gibson, age 82 of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. She was born in Greensburg, Kentucky on May 25, 1935 to the late Willie Preston and Elizabeth Shreve Tucker. Rebecca was a 1953 graduate of Dupont Manual High School. She grew up in and attended 4th Avenue Methodist Church. She was formerly employed with the L&N Railroad and as a secretary in various other positions. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Billy Tucker; and her sisters, Mary Catherine Smith and Fanny Beth Tucker.

Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of over 58 years, Kenneth L. Gibson, Sr.; sons, Kenneth L. Gibson, Jr. (Maureen), Daniel T. Gibson (Laura) and Timothy S. Gibson (Kim); grandchildren, Lauren, Elise, Nathan, Kenny, Luke, Anna, Cade, Zachary, Irie, Sophia and Marley; siblings, Rhea Shreve Tucker, Herman P. Tucker (Jo), Thomas G. Tucker (Sandra), Philip B. Tucker (Paulette), Nan Lee Woods and Betsy Houchins; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 1-6 pm on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, and after 9:30 am Monday until 11am, when a celebration of Rebecca's life will be held. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
