Raymond Charles Sims

Raymond Charles Sims (Chuck/Chuckie), 57, Born September 21, 1961 passed away peacefully on October 3, 2018, surrounded by his furry buddies, Bosley and Char, at his home in Louisville, KY. His parents Dale and Betty Sims; his brothers; David Lee, Roger, and Dwight; his sisters; Brenda and Sue, precede him in death.

Chuck leaves behind his brother Danny Sims and his sister Molly Gail Layne, along with other family and extended family including his aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, many cousins and numerous friends who he loved greatly.

Chuck was born in Beavercreek, OH and resided in the Xenia, OH for a number of years. He then moved to Indiana with his extended adopted family (Mama J and Papa Bob, bubby Jay and sissy Julie) where he resided until he moved to Louisville, KY to be with his love Stephen.

Chuck was a gentle giant that had a large presence and a heart that cared for many. His goofy antics, laughter, along with his creative talents as a florist, his love for the outdoors and his thoughtfulness will be missed. God Speed Chuck, you are now in the presences of your dad, brothers and sisters, and other family and back in the arms of your momma. Peace be with you buddy.

Private memorial services are being planned in Xenia, OH and Louisville, KY.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent in memory of Chuck Sims to Louisville Kentucky Humane Society, Kyhumane.org, in honor of his many four-legged friends.
