Raymond Pryor

Raymond "Ray" Pryor, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 after he lost his long hard fought battle with esophageal cancer. Ray was held warmly in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 8, 1964 in Louisville, KY. Ray graduated from Bishop David High School in 1982.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Ex-Wife/Good Friend, Karen Carroll, and Son-In-law, Anthony Brown.

Raymond is survived by his loving family, Father, Jerry Pryor and Mother, Linda Ising; Fiance, Tammy Corbett and their dog Lilly; Children, Brittany Brown, Justin (Dana) Pryor, and Kayla J. Pryor; Grandchildren, Andrew Brown, Aiden Brown, Keegan Clark, and Elliana Clark; Brothers, Keith Pryor and David Pryor; Aunt, Donna Ising, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Ray was a hard worker and was a small business owner for the past 30 years. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. He was an avid sports fan, his favorites were the Louisville Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens. He loved watching the Kentucky Derby each year and enjoyed listening to music.

Ray was a selfless man who dedicated his life to his family and helping others. Ray will never be forgotten and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany memorial Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
