Raymond Edward Hertel

Raymond Edward "Ed" Hertel, 74, of Louisville, passed away on July 30, 2016. Ed was born in Louisville on November 11, 1941 to the late Edward and Rena Hertel. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a welder and assembler for American Air Filter for over 25 years.
Ed is survived by two daughters, Heather Hendricks (Kyle) and Amanda Hertel; three sisters, Janice Kennison (Donnie), June Stammen, and Sandra Shaw; and former wife, Ruth Hertel.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272).
