Raymond Alfred "Ray" Allen, 82, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on April 1, 2017, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on June 24, 1934, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late George and Sarah (Creamer) Allen. Ray was a hard worker and worked in construction for many years, and was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his siblings, Everett Allen and Irene Ehringer. Ray is survived by his loving children, Robert, Gary "Joe", and Roy Allen; and his sister, Mable Balmer; along with seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) with service to follow at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Animal Shelter (215 West Market Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150).
