Ray Kendall O'Neal Jr. was born on October 9, 1970 to Yolanda O'Neal and Ray K. O'Neal Sr. At an early age he received Christ as his Lord and Savior at Kingdom Land Baptist Church. Ray met Alisha "Big Red" O'Neal on February 2006 and they entered their Union on August 9, 2008.
Big Ray as everyone called him was an outgoing, caring and loving person. He enjoyed listening to music, playing darts, and was an avid University of Louisville fan. Ray attended Eastern High School. While at Eastern, Ray played football and baseball. Ray was voted the "Most Friendly" at Eastern High School. Ray worked at White Castle Distribution Center as a Supervisor for 10 years prior to having a stroke in January 2009. Big Ray would let everyone know that he was "The Champ" of Spades. He loved sitting on Aunt Judy's porch.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Grandparents, Hilda & Mary, Nephew, Andre O'Neal Jr., and Niece, Robyn Nikole Stroud.
Big Ray is survived by his loving Wife, Alisha O'Neal, Son, Edward Graham, Jr., Daughter, Ariana Graham, Siblings, Tarri O'Neal, Andre (Roneeka) O'Neal, Alandro "Shon" O'Neal, Gina O'Neal, Kiniki Lucas, Van Ray O'Neal, Special Long Time Friends, Scott Snider, Maurice Hammond and Michael "Yakki" Williams. Big Ray also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, and Extended Family.
The family of Big Ray would like to give a heartfelt Thank You to his caregivers, Mary Posey, Monika, Aunt Lynn, Drew Matlock, Bennie and Ro.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of his services at Portland Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. His Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Portland Memorial Missionary Baptist Church (3802 West Market Street).
The family requests that contributions in Big Ray's memory be made to American Diabetes Association or American Stroke Foundation.
