He held several careers throughout his lifetime, but it was behind the wheel and on the open road that he found his true calling. Driving trucks was more than just a job for Ray—it was a passion that brought him fulfillment and purpose.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Ray remember him as a gentle giant—a man of great stature and even greater heart. His approach to life was straightforward and sincere. He offered honesty, loyalty, and compassion to all, and his steadfast presence was a source of strength for friends and family alike. Ray's big heart shone through in every interaction, leaving a legacy defined by kindness and generosity.
Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to honor Ray’s memory at a Memorial Gathering on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the same location, beginning at 12:00 PM. These gatherings offer an opportunity to reflect on Ray’s life, share cherished memories, and offer support to one another while commemorating a remarkable man who will be deeply missed.
