Ray Francis Banet, 90, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017. He was a United State Navy veteran and a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
He was born on June 29, 1927, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Chester and Emma (Engle) Banet. Ray was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Hooe) Banet; and siblings, Kenny Banet and Velma Batliner. He is survived by his sister, Joy Daugherty; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
