Ray Edward Atkins, 88, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. He was a United States Army veteran.
He was born on June 14, 1936 in Louisville to Hubert and Lillian (Duncan) Atkins. Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Wiseman) Atkins; step-daughter, Sandra Harshfield; brothers, Earl, Virgil, Bobby Atkins; sisters, Jesse French, Mildred Norrington, Doris Atkins; and brother-in-laws, Lonnie French and Bill Norrington.
Ray is survived by his step-sons, Carter and Donald Wills (Teresa); seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ray's wish was to be cremated. He will be laid to rest privately with military honors at New Albany National Cemetery.
