Randy Lane Rice, 64, of New Albany,IN was called home on Sunday,January 4, 2014. Randy was born on August 29, 1950 in New Albany, IN to Berl D. and Nellie I. Rice. Randy was a retired supervisor at Flint Ink, member of The Edwardsville United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed working as the finiancial secretary of the church, member of The Southern Indiana Umpires Assoc. Randy was also a United States Air Force Veteran and Relay for Life Cancer Survivor.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Rice, brother David Carnes. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jennifer Rice, brothers, Rudy Rice, James Jr. and Patsy Carnes, Jerry Carnes(Theresa), Tom Carnes(Janet), Robert Carnes, Bruce Carnes(Sharon), Jeff Carnes, Brian Carnes(Nancy), sisters, Diane Gillock(Butch), Beth Hopkins, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday , January 8 , 2015 from 3-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be on Friday , January 9, 2015 at 10 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home .
