Randy S. Givens

Randy S. Givens, 69, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was a long-time member of the Salem Masonic Lodge #21 F&AM. Randy worked for over 30 years at General Electric until his retirement. He always enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was tending to his farm or fishing.

He was born on January 11, 1948, to the late Shirley H. and Murzie K. (Porter) Givens. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Rebekah Givens; and his son-in-law, John Schopper.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy (Cardwell) Givens; children, Nancy Givens, Rhonda Shields, and Jeremy Givens (Taquia); 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Posey Township Cemetery in Washington County, Indiana.
