Randell Eugene Cash

Randell Eugene "Gene" Cash, age 81 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. He was born in White Mills, Kentucky on February 7, 1934 to the late Everett and Lena Miller Cash. He was an avid UofK basketball fan and was a referee for high schools. Gene was employed with the Creasey Company for over 40 years, and owned and operated Cash's Prestige Deli. He was a member of Okolona Church of Christ and the Louisville Rose Society. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry; grandson, Oliver; siblings, Paul, William, Agnes Ashton, Frances Decker, Sidney and George Yantz.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Probus Cash; children, Sherry Winn and Joyce Royalty; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nell Purkhiser (Harold), Donnie Cash, E.B. Cash, Judy Rebman (John) and Wayne Cash (Linda); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral ceremony will be 11am Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4-8pm Wednesday and after 9:30 am Thursday until time of service, all at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Okolona Church of Christ.
