Randall "Randy" Kennedy, 91, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Colgate-Palmolive. Randy enjoyed fishing and bowling. He participated regularly in the Senior Games and was a member of the Silver Toners, as well as West Maple Street Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. Randy was a man filled with honesty and integrity and always had compassion and genuine care for others.
He was born on March 30, 1928, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Loper) Kennedy. Randy was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita (Ritchie) Kennedy; children, Larry Southerland and Brenda Southerland; siblings, Francis Hustedt, Jean Gedling, Kenneth Kennedy, Raymond Kennedy, Delbert Hustedt, and Mac Hustedt.
Randy is survived by his children, Sandra Henry (Glenn), Gary Southerland, Denny Southerland, and Linda Mitchell; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Randy's wishes.
