RaMona Lynn Carter, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, in Mt. Washington, Kentucky, one month shy of her seventy-first birthday. Born on July 24, 1955, RaMona spent her life demonstrating compassion, kindness, and unwavering faith, leaving a legacy that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

RaMona was a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1973. Her early years set the tone for a lifetime defined by her steadfast commitment to service, community, and faith.

Professionally, RaMona dedicated many years as the Assistant to the Children’s Director at First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. In this role, she was more than just a guiding hand—she was a source of warmth and encouragement to countless families and young ones. RaMona’s devotion to her work was rooted in her abiding love for others and her heartfelt hope that everyone she met would come to know the profound love of Jesus.

Those who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her love for the outdoors, where she found simple joys—especially while playing and watching softball, a pastime that brought her laughter and connection. She especially loved mowing her lawn.

RaMona’s presence was a blessing to her family, whom she cherished deeply. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeff, who stood faithfully by her side; her brothers, Lee Curry (Candy) and Kevin Curry; her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Landreth (Ed), Kayla Conder (Kyle), and Katie Morris (Shane), Shanda Sutton (Donny), Tina Everson (Dustin), Jesse Curry (Kristen), Richard Schroeder, Stephanie Henson (Joe), and Gabe Fowler (Meredith); numerous great-nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Finn, who also held a special place in her heart.

She reunites in eternal peace with those she dearly missed: her father, Leonard Curry; her mother, Phyllis Curry; her sister, Cindy Baugh; her brother, Steve Curry; and niece, Amanda Frost (Scott).

RaMona’s legacy will endure in the lives she touched, the lessons she shared, and the love she so freely gave. Each memory of her kindness and perseverance brings comfort to those who mourn her loss, reminding all that her spirit endures—a testament to a life well-lived in faith, joy, and genuine kindness.
