Ralph Edward Huddleston

Ralph "Rock" Edward Huddleston Sr., 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was a man who valued honesty, hard work, family and faith.

Ralph was born on April 28, 1935 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Daniel Cleveland Huddleston and Eileen Booher Huddleston . He retired as a Production Manager from Metal Sales Mfg. after working there for more than 30 years. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Ralph loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, college basketball, riding his bike (well into his 80's). He had a passion for the Kentucky Derby, which he passed onto his family who will carry on traditional celebrations.

Ralph is survived by his children, Ralph E. Huddleston, Jr., Lisa Ann (Matthew ) Oakes and Todd (Martha ) Huddleston, grandchildren, Andrea (Josh) Karrick, Jacob (Katie) Huddleston, Drew Huddleston, Joshua (Ashley) Oakes, Lindsey (Michael) Mingus, Emily Huddleston, Alex Huddleston, great grandchildren, Ella, Izzy, Madilyn, Jackson, Olivia, Jordan, Cole, August, Eilee and Hazel, brother, Gary (Dot) Huddleston, cousins, Michael (Rhonda) Williams and Gayle (Hazel) Upchurch and special caregiver, Julie Dalton.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Williams Huddleston, his parents, grandparents, Elma and Porter Booher, who helped raise him, brothers, Lane and Gene Huddleston and daughter in-law, Mary Alice Huddleston.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Bethany United Methodist Church, (6100 Moorman Rd). A Service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, at Bethany United Methodist Church with Reverend Matthew Oakes officiating. Ralph and Hazel will be laid to rest together at Liberty Church Cemetery in Burksville, Kentucky on April 2, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Ralph's memory be made to Bethany United Methodist Church.
