Raeetta C. (Lang) Wilcher

RaeEtta C. (Lang) Wilcher, 66 of Jeffersonville, IN crossed over the Heavenly Shores to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2020. RaeEtta was born April 10, 1954 in Salem, Indiana to the late Archie and Cleatice (Turner) Lang, On December 21, 1974, she married Donald Wilcher, who survives.
Also surviving are her loved and cherished children, Eric (Amanda) Wilcher and Stephanie (Jason Hickey; fiancee) McCabe; five siblings: Larry (Darlene) Lang, Roger (MaryAnn) Lang, Carole Sue (Fred) Smith, Donald (Joan) Lang, and Rebecca (Dan) Julius; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family members.
She accomplished 31 years of employment to the federal government with the US Census Bureau and US Postal Service. After retirement, she brought joy to those in her care while working for various home health organizations. She loved: traveling, her cats, attending the Church of the Nazarene, collecting snowmen, watching Rodeos, and the company of her friends.
Her family and friends deeply miss RaeEtta's love of life, spirit, energy, sense of humor, and companionship, and her presence always held a few surprises.
She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in RaeEtta's memory be made to the National Breast Cancer Coalition (stopbreastcancer.org).
