Rachel Lee Miller, born on March 11, 1983, departed this world on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025. Her sudden passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rachel was a vibrant soul, characterized by her bubbly personality; she had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome, never meeting a stranger. Her infectious laughter and kind heart drew people to her, and throughout her life, she consistently went out of her way to help those in need. Whether it was her unwavering support for the homeless or simply lending an ear to a friend, Rachel's compassion knew no bounds.
Family was everything to Rachel; she cherished her loved ones deeply, finding joy in their company and celebrating every moment spent together. Her pride in being family-oriented was evident, and she poured love into every relationship she nurtured. Rachel's spirit was bright and her desire to uplift others was inspiring, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many.
In addition to her generous heart, Rachel had a zest for life that was contagious. An avid animal lover, she found joy and comfort in the companionship of her pets. She also had a competitive spirit, frequently engaging in poker games and tournaments where her strategic thinking and charm made her a beloved participant among friends. Rachel's love for adventure took her on many unforgettable vacations, including memorable cruises that provided her with experiences and stories she would share with enthusiasm.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alan McFarland; grandparents, Joseph and Janella Miller and Don and Shirley Stuart and Dorothy McFarland and aunt, Daria Stuart.
Rachel leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Cheryl McFarland; brother, Eric Ford; life long companion, Freddie Higdon and her fur babies, Sassy, Ella and Lucy.
Family, friends, and all who were touched by Rachel’s vibrant spirit are invited to gather for a visitation on January 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy in Southwest Louisville, KY. Her legacy of love and kindness continues to inspire all who carry her memory forward.
