Quentin Roosevelt Caldwell, Jr., 68, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020. He retired from Redden Trucking Company. Quentin was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, as well as Atlanta Braves. Quentin enjoyed golfing and fishing and also liked watching old western movies and Monday Night Football.
He was born on December 23, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Quentin, Sr., and Lena (Livingston) Caldwell. Quentin was also preceded in death by his son, James Caldwell; and sister, Peggy Myers.
Quentin is survived by his wife, Dianna (Meadors) Caldwell; children, Quentin Caldwell III (Veronica), Adam Caldwell (Jessica), and Samantha Lacroix (Allen); sister, Beatrice Cox; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Quentin's wishes.
The family would like to thank Chaplain Rob Schettler, along with the nurses and staff at Baptist Health Floyd ICU/PCU, for the care and compassion they provided to Quentin.
