Phyllis Kay (Weber) Swartz

Phyllis Kay (Weber) Swartz, 74, of Depauw, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

She was born on November 19, 1950 in New Albany, Indiana to Kenneth Weber and Bertha (Murphy) Dietrich. Along with her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her grandson, James, sisters, Betty Bryant, Marilyn Ashley, and brother, Kenny Weber.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James Swartz, Sr.; children, Sherry Swartz, Shelly Hardin (Michael), James Swartz, Jr., Timothy Swartz (Suzetta); grandchildren, Lee O'Riley, Brittany O'Riley, Amy Weathers, Nicole Swartz, Emily Ralph (Damian), Andrew Swartz, Anthony Swartz; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Rottet (Pat) and Jeanine Rakes (Tom); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 6:00 p.m.
