Phyllis A. Dean, 67, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 18, 1949 to the late Phillip Edward Carter Sr. and Florence Carter.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Phillip "Eddie" Carter Jr.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Beckara (Klifford) Mosley; a sister, Kathy (Edward) Thompson; two grandchildren, Kevin and Kayla Mosley; three nieces, Monica, Starr and Mariah; two nephews, Ebbie and Ben; two dear friends who she considered family, Heather and Shauna; and a host of other family members and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
