Phyllis Jean Cowley, 81, of Louisville, passed away on October 17, 2016. Phyllis was born in Richmond, KY on September 9, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marguerite Dohrmann; her husband, John Cowley, Sr.; two sons, Butch and David Westermann; and one step-son, Curtis Cowley.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Leffler, Kathy O'Neill, and Kim Westermann (Bart Doerhoefer); one son, Alan Westermann; one step-daughter, Sandra Dyer; two step-sons, Wayne (Donna) and John Cowley, Jr.; sister, Opal Banta; brother, Shelby Croucher (Sharon); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday October 21, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 3:00 pm until time of service.
