Phyllis Renee Cain

Phyllis "Phil" Renee Cain, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on July 31, 2022. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 19, 1957 to Leroy Hinkle Jr. and Mildred Hinkle and was raised alongside two siblings. She went on to graduate from then Oldham County High School. She became the store manager for The Fashion Shop for all their locations for many, many years.

In high school, she ran track of which she ran All-State, and later found enjoyment in cooking for her family, sketching, and playing tennis. She was best known for her signature macaroni and cheese and shepherd's pie. Her pride and joy was her grandson, Little Frank "Tada".

Renee "Phil" is preceded by her parents, Leroy Hinkle Jr. and Mildred Hinkle, and her brother, Leroy Hinkle III. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Tanea Ferebee and Lateisha (Frank Bentley-Darby) Hinkle; her grandson, Frank D. Bentley; her sister, Dena Stovall, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will all miss her very much.

There will be a memorial gathering held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 11:00am – 2:00pm.
