Phyllis Louise Feagins Barr

Phyllis Louise Feagins Barr, age 82 of Bristol, TN., peacefully passed away after a long struggle of multiple myeloma on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Forum at Brookside in Louisville, Ky. She was born on August 3, 1935 in Bristol, VA. She married her childhood sweetheart, Gene Allen Barr in 1954 for 40 years. Phyllis graduated from Bristol Tennessee High in 1953. She worked at Raytheon, Volunteer in Bristol and Knoxville, TN., Greensboro, NC., Paducah, Bowling Green and Louisville, KY. Phyllis loved to cook, play golf, bridge and bowl. She was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church in Louisville, KY. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Gene A. Barr; father, Malcolm R. Feagins and her mother, Margaret Beulah Feagins; and her brother-in-law, James T. Barr.

Phyllis is survived by her brother-in-laws, Jere W. Barr and Don L. Barr; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was loved by many friends and will be greatly missed.

A gathering will be from 2-4 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Louisville, KY., followed by a celebration of Phyllis' life at 4pm. A celebration of life will also be held in Bristol, TN. at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Phyllis' name to Hosparus or the American Cancer Society.
