Phillip Edward Woodcock, Sr., 70, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps. Phillip liked spending time outside working in the yard, gardening, and going for long walks. He was a loving family man and always enjoyed hosting family gatherings.
He was born on June 22, 1950, in Caneyville, Kentucky, to the late Edward and May (Gary) Woodcock. Phillip is survived by his fiancée, Gloria Schindler; children, Phillip Woodcock, Jr., Liona White, and Claudia Woodcock; stepchildren, Adolfo Rodriguez, John Hovel, Jennifer Smith, Melissa Blessit (Scott), and Amanda Tindall; brother, Charles Woodcock (Rosemary); sister, Mary Landers; cousin, Sharon Brown; as well as several grandchildren and his loving fur baby, Tyler.
Cremation was chosen following Phillip's wishes, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
