Phillip Wayne Durbin, 53, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. He had a career that he enjoyed as a truck driver. Phil loved his daughters deeply and was an avid UK fan. He also liked playing golf and poker.
He was born on October 21, 1966, in Louisville, Kentucky. Phil is survived by his wife, Laura Durbin; daughters, Kaeli and Sierra Durbin; mother, Carol (Durbin) Schoenbachler; brothers, Chip Durbin (Kim), Kevin "Rick" Durbin (Dawn), Kevin Ries (Billie Jo), and Michael Schoenbachler (Amy); uncles, Jerry Durbin (Linda) and Joe Durbin (Mary); nieces and nephews, Eric, Kara, Taylor, Lauren, Lindsey, Savannah, Emma, Trae, Mason, and Remi.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 5:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Phil's wishes. The family encourages everyone to sport their favorite team's gear.
