Phillip DaWayne Blackburn, 38, of Louisville, passed away on May 20, 2016. Phillip was born in Louisville on November 13, 1977 to Phillip Blackburn and Sheila (Baxter) Blackburn. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Alexis Blackburn, Gage Troutman and Katlyn Sipes; grandson, Jaedyn Sipes; sister, Katie Blackburn; grandfather, Robert Baxter, Jr.; aunt, Sandra Vertrees (Virgil); and cousins, Anthony and Virgil Vertrees IV.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272).
