Phil Thomas Collins, 81, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2015. He retired from American Can Company and was a United States Army veteran. He was a member of Edwardsville UMC. Phil enjoyed collecting postcards, antiquing, as well as fishing.

He was born on July 8, 1934 in Tampico, Indiana to the late Glenn and Pearl (Garriott) Collins. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Kerry Collins and Allen Best; grandson, Aaron Collins; and brothers, Richard and Don Collins.

Phil is survived by his wife of 31 years, Anita (Kielhorn) Best Collins; son Derek Collins (Stacy); children, Bill and Jim Best, Katie Thompson, Brenda Snyder, Janice Murphy, Nancy Schellenberger; grandsons, Ryan and Tyler Collins; 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will take place at 1 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Edwardsville UMC (4830 SR 62, Georgetown, IN 47122). Phil will be laid to rest with military honors in New Albany National Cemetery.
