Perry Richard "Junie" Rusk passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. He was a railroader for 43 years with K&ITRR and Norfolk Southern, a sailor, a WWII Veteran, and a wonderful husband and father. He was a kind, gentle man and well respected. He was a member of VFW Post 1693 and Mount Tabor Presbyterian Church, as well as a member of the Skyliner's Square Dance Club. He loved to go fishing with his family and spending time in Florida in the winter. He was also proud of the fact that he went to night school for two years at NAHS to get his diploma one year ahead of his daughter.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Vada Stucky and Virginia Townsend; and two brothers, Roy Rusk and Clarence Rusk. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty Marie Ebling Rusk; daughter, Karen Rusk Minsterketter; and son, Rick Rusk (Susie); three grandchildren, Traci, Michael, and Lindsay; and seven great-grandchildren, Karli, Hali, Kimberli, Jacob, Hannah, Dillon, and Sophia.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
