Peggy Ann Sinkfield, October 23, 1938 to April 12, 2020.
Peggy Sinkfield was born to the union of Edward and Florence Booker in Louisville, KY, although as a young child she lived in Newark, NJ and graduated from the esteemed Arts High School and went to college (nursing school). Peggy met her future husband, Douglas Sinkfield in New York where they married in 1956.
Peggy returned to Louisville around 1958 where she worked in the nursing field at various facilities and was employed by the Postal Service for about 10 years. She retired from Central State Hospital.
Peggy is preceded in death by her mother (Florence), her father (Edward), her brother (Edward Jr.) and sons David and Ernest.
Peggy leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Deborah Sinkfield-Rudolph (Walter), Amy Sinkfield, Robin Sinkfield, Lauren Traynor (Steve), Stephanie Sinkfield, and Charles Sinkfield (Connie), a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her loving church community, her friends at The Puritan, and her fur baby, Miss T.
Peggy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and a dedicated poet. She had a very playful spirit and could appreciate a sharp dressed man.
