Peggy Jane Enteman, born on January 27, 1945, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Tennessee. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by love, dedication, and a deep commitment to her family.

Peggy married the love of her life, Larry Enteman, on November 23, 1963. Together, they built a beautiful and enduring life, blessed with the joy of their daughter, Kathy. Her family was the cornerstone of her pride and happiness; whether it was on family vacations, hunting outings with her grandson, or engaging in playful moments with her great-grandchildren, Peggy treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by those she loved.

A woman of diverse interests, Peggy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as watching movies, reading books, dining out, socializing with family and friends, casino outings, and bingo. Her vibrant spirit and warm heart left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Jane Dooley, and her brothers, Jerry and Bobby Dooley.

She is lovingly survived by her husband of 62 years, Larry Enteman; her devoted daughter, Kathy (Tommie) Gibson; grandson Jacob (Renee) Gibson; and her great-grandchildren Charlie, Drue, Logan, Landen, Trenten (Nora), Lexi (Kadyn), and Bradlee (Makayla), as well as great-great-grandchild Bailee. She is also mourned by her sisters Patricia (Steve) Brock, Lynda Dooley, and Becky Gavin; sister-in-law Sharon Dooley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

The family will gather to honor Peggy’s memory with a visitation on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and again on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. A funeral service will follow on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at the same location. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Peggy lived a life rich with love and generosity. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, her infectious joy for life, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have shared in her remarkable journey.

The family requests that contributions in Peggy’s memory be made to St. Luke's United Church of Christ-Jeffersonville, Indiana.
