Pauline Dorothy Ward, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on December 20, 1935, she lived a life characterized by compassion, dedication, and a profound love for her family.
The daughter of Edward Hollis and Claire (Priddy) Hollis, Pauline embraced her role as a caregiver from an early age. She devoted over 35 years of her life to the healthcare profession as a nurse's aid at Floyd Memorial Hospital. Her commitment to her patients and their families highlighted her nurturing spirit and tireless work ethic.
Pauline will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family. She took immense pride in being a mother to her sons, Kenneth Ward, Mark (Fawn) Ward, and her late son, Michael Ward; and a loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Erica Ward. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them, always fostering a close-knit and loving environment that will continue to resonate through the lives she touched. She is also survived by sister, Linda (Mike) Zeller.
Pauline is now reunited in eternal rest with her husband, Jesse Calvin Ward; her son; her parents; and her two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). She will be laid to rest with her husband at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
