Pauline Marie (Mayfield) Chaffin

Pauline Marie (Mayfield) Chaffin, 82, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018. She retired from Walgreens in New Albany after 40 years. Pauline was an avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and also enjoyed fishing and visiting the casino.

She was born on January 8, 1936, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Roscoe, Sr., and Martha (Mix) Mayfield. Pauline was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Chaffin; siblings, Lucille, Martha, Doris, Roscoe, Jr., William, Lawrence, and Janet; and grandson, Bryan Terry.

Pauline is survived by her children, Maurice "Bud" Terry, Jr., and Paula Heeke (Mike); brother, George Mayfield (Evelyn); sister-in-law, Beulah Mayfield; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her ex-husband, Maurice Terry, Sr.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery.
