Paul Randall Phillips

Paul Randall Phillips, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by the love of his life, his cherished wife, Shannon Miller-Phillips. Born on January 25, 1951, in Henderson, Kentucky, Paul lived a life rich in compassion, humor, and hard work.

A graduate of Madison High School, Paul dedicated over 15 years of his life to the deathcare business, serving the community of Louisville and at Funeral Auto Mortuary. His vocation was not merely a job; it was a reflection of his character, showcasing his ability to provide comfort and support to families during their hardest times. His quick wit and great sense of humor brought light to those he served, while his loyalty, honesty, and respect for others helped him forge deep connections within his community.

Paul was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in gardening and nurturing flowers that blossomed under his care. He cherished the time spent with family and friends, always making space in his heart and home for those he loved. One of his proudest accomplishments was watching his family grow, as each new addition brought an abundance of joy and laughter into his life.

Paul leaves behind his treasured family: his loving wife, Shannon; his sons, Chris (Karen) Phillips, Nick Phillips, and Shane Miller (MiMi); his daughter, Candace (Nick) Chipman; and his daughter, Jenna (Rob) Fabre. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Natalie MulHolland, Carter Phillips, Claire Phillips, Jason Chipman, and Ryder Phillips. Each of them was a source of pride, and he loved them deeply.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Stella and Frank Phillips, whose spirits undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

As we remember Paul, we reflect on the life he lived—a life marked by kindness, hard work, and a profound dedication to his family and community. He will be dearly missed, his memory forever etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Mass will be held in honor of Paul on Friday, June 13, 12:00pm, at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave, Louisville, KY 40205, burial will follow at Eastwood Cemetery, at 1:30pm. Newcomer Cremations Funerals and receptions East Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville KY, 40243 is entrusted with the arrangements.
