Born on March 3, 1938, in Elizabeth, Indiana, Paul’s story is woven deeply into the fabric of his community and the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

From his earliest days in Elizabeth, Paul radiated a sincere and hardworking spirit. After proudly attending and graduating from Elizabeth High School, he embarked on a journey marked by both service and humility. He answered the call of duty with pride, serving his country in the United States Air Force. Paul’s time in the military was a reflection of his resolute sense of responsibility, honesty, and straightforwardness—virtues that would define the way he carried himself throughout his life.

Upon returning home, Paul devoted many diligent years working for Pillsbury, where his work ethic shone brightly and stood as an example for his peers. Yet, it was within the embrace of his family where Paul’s true fulfillment resided. For 64 remarkable years, he shared a lifelong partnership with his beloved wife, Shirley Mae Morgan. Together, they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and perseverance—a home filled with kindness and unwavering support.

Paul’s role as a father was one he took great pride in. He is survived by his loving children: Angela Renee Nelson (Curtis), Timothy Aaron Morgan (Tracy), Lawrence Dale Morgan (Jamie), and Cindy Anne Bland (Gerald), each of whom benefited tremendously from his guidance, generosity, and steadfast support. Paul’s heart extended even further, encompassing his grandchildren—Morgan Gilbert (Dillon), Blake Nelson, Levi Morgan (Summer), Brennan Morgan, and Alison Motsinger (Cauy)—who will forever remember his gentle wisdom, his stories, and the deep affection he gave so freely.

He will be missed by his sister Mary Wiseman (Robert), who journeyed alongside him through the years—sharing both the triumphs and tribulations of life. Paul’s legacy continues through the family he so ardently loved and the many lives he touched along the way.

Paul’s reverence for the outdoors was legendary. He cherished time spent deer and turkey hunting, found peace in mushroom hunting, and took great satisfaction in tending his garden. Whether he was working with his hands or simply enjoying the breeze on a quiet day, Paul found joy in the world around him. His hands were always busy, often crafting, fixing, or nurturing—echoes of his patient spirit and the active life he so genuinely relished.
