Paul Laughlin

Paul Laughlin, born on July 10, 1952, passed away on December 12, 2025. He lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished moments, leaving a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A proud Army veteran, Paul served his country with honor, embodying the values of dedication and service that remained with him throughout his life. Beyond his military service, Paul was characterized by his laid-back demeanor and an infectious sense of humor. He had a remarkable talent for storytelling, often sharing jokes that brought joy to those around him.

Paul had a deep passion for music, which was reflected in his love for karaoke. Every weekend, he could be found delighting friends and family alike with his singing, creating memorable experiences through the magic of music. Additionally, Paul was an avid golfer, relishing the time spent on the golf course, where he found both relaxation and camaraderie.

Above all, Paul took immense pride in his family, which he considered his greatest accomplishment. His love for them knew no bounds, and he devoted himself to creating lasting memories filled with warmth and laughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Nona Laughlin and his brother, Leslie Laughlin.

Paul is survived by his wife Gladys Laughlin; children, Jennifer (Brittany) Laughlin, James (Dana) Hardin, Tammy (Joey) Brooks and Forrest (Rachel) Dressing; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Watson and special friends, Shari Allen and Sarah Schlindwein. 

The funeral services for Paul Laughlin will begin with a visitation on December 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. A funeral service will follow on December 30, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM, also at the same location. Subsequently, a graveside service will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, located at 2501 North Dixie Boulevard, Fort Knox, KY 40121, at 2:30 PM.

Paul’s legacy will be cherished by all who knew him, and he will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the love he so freely shared.
