Paul Edward Drury, 84, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserves and the U.S. Army. He retired from Reynolds Aluminum in Louisville and was a former employee of Manheim Auto Auction in Clarksville, Indiana, and a long-time member of St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs. Paul was an avid NASCAR and IU fan who greatly enjoyed his Friday morning gatherings with his coffee buddies.
Paul was born on August 13, 1934, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Paul I. and Jeanetta Evelyn (Anderson) Drury. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Sue Szalay.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois A. (Stiner) Drury; his daughters, Paula Moore (David), Mary Drury (fiancé, Brian Vance), and Missy Drury (Eric Herthel); his granddaughter, Katie Surber (Kelby Sigman); step-grandchildren, Harley and Steven Moore; sisters, Regina "Jeannie" Portman and Anna Lee Bray (Ralph); and brother-in-law, John Szalay.
Paul's visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 26, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church (7500 Navilleton Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
