Paul Allen Bunton, Sr. was the second born out of six boys to Millicent and Granville Bunton, Jr. He gave his life to Christ as a young child and united with the Young's Chapel AME Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended Central High School and became a mechanic by trade, but basketball player by heart. He was one of the first to play and win in the Dirt Bowl held annually in West Louisville. He was a patient man, loving father and friend. He would extend his help to all. He also touched many lives with his wisdom and strength.
On Sunday, April 21, 2019, Paul Allen Bunton, Sr., departed this life for his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Linda B. Bunton, brother, Granville A. Bunton and his daughter's, NaMika and Latasha. Paul's spirit and love will live on through his surviving children, Kenneth (Kenny) Bunton, Sr. (Kimberley), Paul Allen Bunton, Jr. (Felisa), Cypheus Lamont Bunton (Canita) and daughter, Tiffany Nicole Ford. His memory will also be cherished by his brother's, Harold Kenneth Bunton (Linda S.), Norman Bunton (Tonya), William Bill Bunton, Sr. (Linda F.) and Stanley Mace Bunton (Sherry). Along with his 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and his special friend and devoted caregiver, Karen Woods .
Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Paul's life beginning at 1pm.
