Paul H. Bruce

Paul H. Bruce, born July 13, 1948, passed away on August 31, 2026 with his daughter and son by his side. 

Paul was a graduate of Butler High School and went on to build a long and respected career as a lineman with LGE and Fishel Electric Company, serving for more than 31 years. His work reflected dedication, skill, and a strong commitment to his profession.

Outside of work, Paul enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought people together. He loved playing golf, spending time with friends over a good cold Miller Light, and appreciating old cars. In his younger years, he was also a bull rider, a reflection of the spirited and adventurous side he carried through life.

Paul will be remembered for a life shaped by hard work, friendship, and the pursuits he genuinely loved. His memory will remain with all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Pauline Bruce.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Amy Simms; son, Chris (Tonya) Bruce; grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylynn, Tanner, Camden and Emily; great-grandchildren, Addison, Briar and Phoebe; brother, Kenneth (Carol) Bruce; niece, Melinda; nephews, Mark and Scott and ex-wife and companion, Pam Wendelgast. 

Paul's wishes were to be cremated.
