Patty Ann Goodman passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2026, in Sellersburg, Indiana, at the age of 60. Born on November 24, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, Patty will be remembered as a woman whose life was rooted in love for her family and expressed through steady devotion, warmth, and strength.
She was a graduate of Oldham County High School and went on to earn her associate degree from Sullivan University. Patty worked diligently in the merchant service industry for 30 years, where her hardworking nature and commitment were evident. She was known as an honest, compassionate person who gave her best in all that she did.
More than anything, Patty was devoted to the people she loved. She was a dedicated mother, a loyal wife, a loving grandmother, and a devoted sister and friend. She was the matriarch of her family, a steady and caring presence whose love shaped the lives around her. Her proudest accomplishment was watching her family grow and succeed, and that joy was reflected in the way she celebrated each milestone and treasured time spent together.
Patty found happiness in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She made holidays special and created lasting memories through many joyful pool parties and cookouts filled with laughter and family. She loved the beach, enjoyed watching a good movie and listening to music. In every season of her life, her family remained at the center of her heart, and she loved them more than anything else.
She is survived by her children, Alicia Cook and her husband, Tre; Ashley Barker and her partner, Chris; and Andrew Wilmoth and his wife, Kayla. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Dra Cook, Taliyah Cook, Zayden Cook, Camdyn Cook, Kai Cook, Riley Livers, Landon Wilmoth, Phoenix Wilmoth, and Lennox Wilmoth, each of whom brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her father, Robert Moe and his wife, Ann; and by her brothers, Paul Moe and his wife, Julie, and Phillip Moe and his wife, Kristi and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary K. Moe; her sister, Pamela J. Klaus; and her spouse, Ricky Lee Goodman.
Visitation will be held on October 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Patty Ann Goodman will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the kindness she gave so freely, the joy she brought to family gatherings, and the unwavering love that defined her life. Her memory will live on in the family she cherished and in the many moments of laughter, comfort, and togetherness she created.
