Patrick A. Thompson

Patrick Anthony Thompson, 30, of Shepherdsville, KY passed away December 11, 2020. Patrick's life began in Louisville, KY on December 26, 1989. He was Grandma's Favorite and his wife's Kindergarten sweetheart. Patrick was a fierce protector of his family and loved ones. Patrick's biggest passion in life was fatherhood. He enjoyed most being the best daddy to Payton, Hunter and Addison. In addition, He loved to be a creative cook for his family and friends. He was a perfectionist and strived to make his father proud. He was a collector of tiny things and loved Canoeing the Blue River while searching for baby turtles.

Patrick is survived by his mother and father, Miranda and Jerry Key; wife, Krystal Thompson; daughters, Payton and Addison Thompson; son, Hunter Thompson; 3 brothers, Jerry Key III, Christian "Alex" Key, Mario Nava; sister, Paige Key (Todd Allen) soon-to be born niece, Elena Marie; grandfather, Jerry Key Sr. and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended-family, and friends.

Patrick is preceded in death by his brothers, Brandon and Jordan Key; beloved grandmothers, Mary Reesor and Sharon Key; Grandfather, Joe Thompson; Great Grandparents Robert and Alma Harris

The family invites all those who shared in the love of Pat for a celebration of his life at Newcomer Southwest Chapel 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272 Saturday, December 19th, 2020 from 1 – 8 pm Sunday, December 20th, 2020 from 12 – 2 pm Patrick's memorial service will be on December 20th, 2020 beginning at 2 pm. processional will follow to Patrick's final resting place at Garnettsville Cemetery, Brandenburg, KY 40108
