Patrica Harline (Wood) Soards, 73, passed a way on January 11, 2022. She was born in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, on December 25, 1948. Pat moved to Louisville in her early 20's where she worked, got married and raised her family. She enjoyed collecting cookie jars and candy dishes, playing cards and entertaining friends and family. Later, Pat and Jimmy spent time camping and spoiling their grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harlin and Anna (Grooms) Wood; husband, Jimmy Soards; sisters, Margaret Wood and Gwen (Wood) Brantley and brother, Ronnie Wood.
Pat leaves to cherish her memories, her two children, William Anthony "Tony" (Chrissy) Soards and Tressya Carol (Chris) Stebbins; grandchildren, Meredith Soards, Abby Stebbins, Ben Stebbins and Liam Soards; sister, Nancy Ward of Glasgow, KY and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2022, at Newcomer Creamtions, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm. A graveside service will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Union Cemetery 1 in Fountain Run, KY, beginning at 11am CENTRAL STANDARD TIME.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, they would like donations be made to, Union Cemetery 1, c/o of Bobby Morrison, 9550 Austin Tracy Road, Fountain Run, KY 42133. Please make the check payable to Union Cemetery 1.
