Patricia T. "Pat" Smith, passed away at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY Sunday, January 21st, 2019 with her daughter, Margaret, by her side at the age of 74.
Patricia was born on August 12, 1944 in Olean, NY to William and Doris (Scheiterle) Turner. She grew up in a multi generational household surround by her younger brother and grandparents, while being raised a devout Lutheran. Later, Patricia and her brother, William Michael Turner moved with their parents to Jeffersonville, Indiana. She attended Jeffersonville High School. Patricia went on to study Sociology at Indiana University Southeast and then later attended the University of Louisville. She was married to Donald H. Smith from 1968-1992, in which, they had two children, Margaret and Donald and she resided in Louisville, KY.
Patricia's infectious personality and bold sense of fashion are just a couple of the qualities that truly made her a unique human being. But the strongest quality of all was the magnitude to which, she loved and showed love towards her children. A truly special individual never to be forgotten.
Patricia is survived by her loving children, Margaret S. Hall (Gregory J. Hall) and Donald B. Smith (Justin A. Peteris); grandchildren, Dylan Thomas Hall and Samantha Lauren Hall; brother, William Michael Turner.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 12 PM - 2 PM at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals and Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a Celebration of Pat's life to follow at 2 PM at the funeral home.
