Patricia Rowe "Pat" Plyman, age 78 of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 after being diagnosed with glioblastoma on March 2. Pat, known by many as Patty Gaye, was born on March 3, 1938 in Jeffersonville, IN. She was a 1956 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. On December 2, 1961, Pat married Jerry Plyman. Together, they raised two daughters in a loving and nurturing environment. In 1988, Pat went to work for American Commercial Barge Lines, retiring in 2009. She never slowed down in retirement, moving to Louisville to help raise her grandchildren, traveling to her favorite beach spots, and making new friends wherever she went. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Jerry Rowe; and her husband.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Margot Vetrovsky (Dan) and Jennifer Plyman. She loved Aurora, Ana and Brenna Vetrovsky and Logan and Emory Koester, her grandchildren, with all her heart and soul. She also leaves behind her brother, Bill Rowe (Kelly Clark); her sister-in-law, Betty Plyman Brown (Dennis); and her nephews, Ryan Rowe and Dennis and Charles Brown; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 9-11am Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. Augustine Church, 315 E. Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville, IN, followed by the Mass of Celebration at 11am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, KY.
