Patricia Ann Craig, 84 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away comfortably on September 10, 2025. Born in Columbus, Ohio on July 14, 1941, she spent most of her younger years growing up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
It is with a sad and broken heart that we lost my constant companion and loving sister.
Patricia "Pat" is survived by her sister, Diane Rosen who shared their lives together. Other survivors include a cousin Nina Marie O'Toole Turner and her 3 children Carla, Amy and Erin with their families and many other cousins. She also had a Craig Family association attending many reunions, traveling and gathering information, which expanded her interest in Genealogy.
As an individual, Pat maintained the highest respect from all that knew her as loving, giving and caring person. To be in her presence was an honor and privilege and we remain fortunate to have been together.
Her occupation was a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, where she worked mainly in the Operating Room, assisting and comforting those who were under her care. She graduated from Jackson Memorial School of Nursing, Miami, Florida in 1962. Her career extended to work in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, New York City, Los Angeles, and Louisville where she retired from Baptist Health working in the Operating Room RN. She was also a Captain in the US Air Force, stationed at Dover, Delaware.
A graduate from Stranahan High School, Ft. Lauderdale, in the first graduating class of 1959 she continued to maintain contact with some of those friends traveling to reunions and other events. The rooms were always filled with laughter, smiles and many stories of the times they shared together.
A traveling companion with her sister, she visited all 50 United States, loved cruising, and had a list of visiting over 50 other countries located in North America, Europe and Asia.
When asked what was her favorite, her reply was "all of them, as they were each unique in their own right".
Her hobbies included photography, genealogy, scrapbooking, and painting original pictures. A busy person who was always involved in many activities and groups including church choirs, Red Hatters, and Swim Babes, just to mention a few.
Pat will be missed by all that knew her. Although she can no longer share in our conversations, she will forever remain in our hearts and always be remembered for the fun and good times we had together.
A memorial service to honor Pat's life will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel, located at 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243.
